Twice now I've been driving my car, and all of a sudden it will just shut off. When I try to restart it again it makes noises like it is out of gas, but it has a full tank.
The first time I put gas into it, and it started right up.
Second time after putting gas into it, it didn't start, but my dad got it to start somehow but it was running really rough.

My book says it could be a defective choke, if it is how much do those cost to replace and how hard would it be for me to fix it?

Could it be anything other than a defective choke?

Depends on what year it is if it even has a choke. But if it is this time of the year it should not be active. to get you by till you can fix the electric or heat activated choke which ever you have, just "prop" it open until you get it fixed.

It won't be the choke. Need more info. year, at least. Need to know about fuel system. A GT is probably carb. If so I would suspect the fuel pump is about to fail or filter needs cleaned.
