My car overheated on the highway a week ago, it has yet to start. When i turn the key,it acts like it wants to start ( it does make noise like its going to start, but doesnt) Also, the check engiene light comes on, only when i drive over 55mph on the highway.I went to autozone, they gave me a tool to hookup so i can test the engine and get a code to find out what the problem is. If you can help, i'd greatly appreciate it. Thanks.

maximum vehicles now have knock sensors bumped off ( previous technologies) yet this shouldn't impact beginning, in basic terms working because it alters eu maps for spark ignition and fuelling. attempt changing the previous unit first! see if it is going to hearth in any respect. conceivable you have inadvertently disconnected some thing else in changing the sensor. have we checked gas stress? can we've a spark? has the motor vehicle been labored on these days? verify for any unfastened or adrift connections. we could could desire to run diagnostics on it and verify for further fault codes and result maintenance if mandatory.
