Main reason eletric motors will they stand up to long run times or struggle all the way. Only America and a few other country uses 60hz. i want to get some tools but i need some info. i live in a 50hz enviroment. or if there is a converter and can it run 200 amps.

the gas station with the air pump is a few miles away, so obviously the tires wouldn't be cold. how much should i put in the tires if my car is recomended 29 psi cold inflated?

I have a 00 Montana with a blown head gasket. The mechanic said it would be a 700 dollar repair. This seems like too much money. Does this seem right? Has anyone had this done or know what the labor rate is on a repair to these types of vans?

First of all let me just say im not familiar with cars and this is my first. My car coolant which i presume makes a weird hss noise after i turn off the car, is this something I should be worried about?

I just recently had my catalytic converter changed and less then a week after it was replaced the check engine light went on in my 1996 Honda Accord. I brought the car back to the mechanic and they told me that the 02 sensors need to be replaced. I was wondering if it is likely that the 02 sensors failed because of their faulty work in the replacement of the CAT, or is it more likely that the CAT needed to be replaced because the O2 sensors were bad?
Also does anyone have any idea what it should cost to replace the O2 sensors on a 96 Honda Accord?

i have a 2004 chevy silverado and can not figure out why the driving lights will not light up on my trailer. The lights work with my other truck so I know it is not the trailer. any one have any ideas what it might be and how to fix it in a hurry

This is a new one on me. I have recently decided to replace the split bench seat in my '03 Ram 1500 with an older style Ford bench seat. I haven't even taken the measurements yet, because I would like to know what the best option would be. Are there any older seats that might match the bolt patterns, or is the only option to drill new mounting holes? I know its really one of those "Had to have done it before" questions, so I'm hoping someone out there has done this!

hi i have a 1986 nissan maxima and i JUST changed the oil...the gauge worked fine be4 the change but 2 minutes into my "first run" after the change...the psi gauge fell to 0 and stayes there....even when i have the key switched into "on" with the engine off, when i usually hear rrrrrrr and the gauges go to 90 psi normally...and now....nothing is it bad to drive the car?....i got new oil filter and am using valvoline maxlife synthetic blend

I own a 95 Mustang Cobra with a 5.0. For as long as I've own the car (over 4 years) I've use either Royal Purple or Mobil 1 synthetic oil. Im in the process of putting in a new cam, lifters, push rods, heads and upper/lower intake manafold. I've noticed that its recommended to use conventional oil to break in new components but I've also been told that once you start using synthetics you cant go back. What oil should i use to break in the engine?

I have noticed for a little while that while I am idle my car steering feel vibrates a little. The other day I was driving and noticed that whenever I accelrate or put my foot on the gas even a little it drove like the tires needed to be balanced very balaced (shaky rough etc). Now my malfunction indicator lamp is on which says there could be an problem with my emissions system. What does this problem sound like to you? It is a 3 yr old car with about 40,000 miles on it. Is this a serious problem? How much do you think it will cost for parts and labor. I have not had a "new" car before this one so I never had to decide whether or not to bring it to the dealership to get repaired or an auto mechanic in my area suggested by a friend. WIll the dealership rip me off?

It a manual 1997 mistbishi Eclipse fwd...I was shifting hard from first to second and felt the trans give out totaly.. With the motor running and no pressure on the peddle the shifter moves easly through the gears as if the car was off and standing still , Theres no noise or grinding.. i know i have to pull it no matter what SO what tools besides the basics will i need..Any idea what I broke >Even with the car rolling the car go's through the gears even reverse moving forward (could it be a half shaft. I had to leave it at work at night .so i have to wait till monday to look it over ..thanks for your info.. (AND YES I LIKE TO HOT ROD) No smart A S S coments PLEASE!!!

when you turn the steering wheel to the right, it's fine. when you try to turn it to the left, there is a whining nose and it is very stiff, like the power steering is gone. what could be going on?

In the process I broke off three of the screws that hold the tire onto the car? Now what do i do? Cant drive the car with only 2 screws and bolts holding the tire on? Tow it somewhere? what sort of damage has been done? why did the screw break off in the first place? Is it something I can fix myself? Please help

Ok, Im just going to name all the little things I have problems with.

1. My trunk- I cant get it to open because the lock looks jammed on the inside or something. Plus, the trunk release is busted on the inside.

2. My cd player- It wont work. When I tried to put a cd in, it read ERR. I used a cd cleaning system. Didnt work.

3. Back speakers- I just found out that there are 2 wires on each speaker that are not connected to anything. Plus, I discovered a wire laying on the floor that has two wires on each side. I never had rear speakers, just the ones in the front on the doors.

4. My 12V outlet- It doesnt work. Possibly needs a fuse?

5. My low-beam headlights- They dont work. Bought new lights for them- that didnt work.

6. My daytime running lights- dont work anymore. Possibly has to do with the low beams?

7. Heating system in the winter doesnt really work well. I will leave the car to warm up for a few min, then as I accelerate and get on the thruway, it gets cold again.

I have a 2000 nissan quest minivan and I turned it off and tried to start it and it has plenty of battery but wont turn over. Could it be a fuel problem or am I barking up the wrong tree. PLEASE HELP !!! Does anyone know about these vans or these problems and to where I can find the fuel pump on this van?
