you could have just busted a shifter cable or the clutch cable.

Well I got a mitsubishi Galant 2001 auto trans. My car is giving me something similar to your problem. My car will drive in the reverse position but it can't park or go in reverse. I've been told numerous things could have happened. The transmission linkage could be loose or finished. Check the linkage from your drive shaft to the tranny. If thats fine check the electrical.Transmission control unit. If all that is fine you need to see a transmission specialist. Sorry I can't help anymore.

Try ajusting the clutch fork on the side of the tranny,my Vette did the same think, your clutch may be wearing out so by ajusting the fork it'll tighten up,i used to do it right in the parking lot when it acted up.It takes around 5 min.

relax not sweat.

the clutch pedal linkage got loose (I think is hydraulic)
if that is the case fill with fluid and check for leakage.
You can take it home ,just by refilling the fluid ,and have some extra for the road.

Clutch disc blew up and won't engage the engine to the tranny.
