the cooling fan runs on for a while after you stop the engine, especially if (a) it's warm or (b) you spent a while manoeuvring into your parking space

When you stop the engine after a moderate run, the fan may or may not carry on running. This is to cool the engine when the airflow through the radiator which occurs naturally when mobile, stops when stationary. So you may hear some after noises as you describe, it may be the fan running on, or coolant sorting itself out. If your car does not show overheating on the temp' gauge when running, then you do not have a problem.

It could be that the seal on the header tank cap is leaking. It is simple to get a new one for your car and fitting the replacement is easy. It's important that the cap is sealing correctly in order to maintain the internal pressure of the cooling system. The higher pressure is essential to ensure that the coolant can manage higher temperature without blowing liquid out of the system in a situation where the car is stationary or slow moving in traffic conditions. Make sure that you get the correct replacement for your car; not all cars run the same pressure in their systems.

sometimes when you shut your car off and the engine has been running for awhile the coolant temperature in the radiator goes up due to the engine not running and circulating the water and the water will overflow a little into the overflow tank and I think this is what your hearing, nothing to worry about.

It could be the A/C refrigerant ballancing out pressure in the system.

Or your coolant level is realy low and boiling or turning into steam.

Check the coolant resevior. Is it half full?

after you run it and turn it off oprn the hood and get an idea where its coming from..if its the hose, which probably what it is , it is going bad, if its NOT replaced it could bust, drain out all the fluid in your car, antifreeze, and leave u stranded...good luck
