I didn't mean it grease monkeys. I forgot that you all don't read the bible or believe in Jesus. Just nuts and bolts. Oh well!
Can anyone show me a scripture on how to adjust my points?

Loosen the set screws and make sure that the points are resting on top of a distributor lobe and set the gap at .016 with a feeler gauge.

If you have an old GM distributor with a window in it. Then you can set the dwell at 35 with a meter. That makes it a lot quicker and cleaner to adjust the points. good luck.

yes. tear any 7 pages out of your bible and place them together. they will equal about .017". and i say unto ye, this will get you there!!! go back to R&S!
