goosenecks and 5th wheels arent the same, the coupling is different. goosnecks have a regual ball hitch mounted in the bed, 5th wheels have a coupler that slides into a lock, like a semi trailer

I have assumed the the gooseneck trailer is a 5th wheel trailer.

if i understand correctly, the difference is just the coupler, you can change it out to a king-pin one, maybe some welding/fabbing involved but should be possible
