I have a 94 buick. I was driving home yesterday when the ding ding started sounds stupid but best way to describe it is like the alert when the car door is open. My gauges are all normal. Thanks

I have a 93 jeep grand cherokee,It calls for tire size 215/75R15
I got a great deal on new 235/75R15S,My question is how much did this throw the speedometer off? And how do i calculate the speed while driving, Like if i'm showing 70mph, how fast do you think i'm going? 60-65,and does it change at like 30?

I've always been told 3,000 miles or 3 months, whichever comes first, but my new car has onstar and it sends me diagnostics every month. It is saying at the rate I am driving, I will not need to change the oil until 9,500 miles. Could this possibly be correct? I purchased the car in April (new) and now have almost 4,000 miles on it. Any suggestions or comments would be great! Thanks

I recently replaced the bolts that connect the sway var to the a-arm (both sides) on my 91 Escort LX. My question is this: is it necessary to get a front end alignment after replacing the bolts?

It seems like only when i first accelerate that it happens. Anything after that (like over 20 mph) it doesn't happen. It seems like something might be loose. Any ideas anyone?

My steering wheel recently started shaking left and right and also causing my front panel to vibrate. I recently had a brake job done so I don't think it is caused by the brakes. The shaking/vibration occurs with or without braking. The guys at Brake Check also said my suspension looks fine. So I'm inclined to suspect something with the tires? Rebalance? New tires?

I've had someone pour sugar in to my tank, they were smart enough to leave a trail of sugar from the gas tank so i knew something was up...

But I'd like to know whats the worst thing you can put in a gas tank, to basically.. destroy a car. Whether it be foreign liquid like water or syrup, or some powder or sugar, whats worse for a cars engine?

I did an oil change on my Aunt's van yesterday. When I refilled the oil, I put in about 5 quarts of oil. When I poured the old oil back in the container, it was only about 4 quarts. Now when I check the oil dipstick, it reads above the full mark. Can I drain some of the oil from the engine by loostening the drain plug, or do I have to drain the whole thing and then refill it again?

I have a 1992 RS CAMARO w/a V8 engine. I have a few problems w/it that I can seem to fix. I have installed a radio and it wont turn on. The radio fuse is good and I did all the connections right, but no power to it. Also the car has power lock/windows. I can get the passanger window to go down, but the driver side won't. I have replaced the fue used in the center console that you use to move the window, but no go. Do you think my motor might be bad on the driverside? Last question. I had a lock replaced on the truck since when I bought it, it wasn't there. I have tried to pop the trunk w/the switch from the inside, but won't work either. Can this be a motor problem or something else? Can someone please help me.

I'm trying to get a cable through the bulkhead of a peugeot 406 estate:- i can't seem to find a grommet to use. Can someone tell me specifically, where there is a grommet/hole to get through the bulkhead.

it was my dad's car and he has just passed away - i need to treat this car with the ultimate respect and care - there is no way i can risk damaging it in any way by drilling a hole "blind" in case i hit something the other side or add an "open wound" for rust to get in

As a compromise, is there anywhere i can "tap" a 35/40amp supply inside the car -I'm not usually a person to compromise but in this case [see last paragraph] I would rather bin the caravan than mark the car in any way.

Has anyone tried running a cable UNDER this type of vehicle, are there enough attachment points - i can protect the cable from damage by running it inside an old hosepipe

It was raining so hard we didnt see how bad the road was tell it was to late.... The card just shut right off. Now once we got out and pushed it out of the water we noticed the oil was leaking. The water wasnt even up to the doors. 1997 Olds Aurora! I was told to let it dry out afew days and change the oil b4 trying to start it again.. IS THAT bULL?

i replaced the brake light bulbs and put new fuses for the turn signals. the signals work for a little bit then stop. when i take the fuse out it is burnt out already. is it a wire problem? i need to figure this out cuz its scary driving. HELP

it works for about 10-15 minutes, but will stop while idling. if i have the fan on half power and turn it to full power it will work. my car is a 2003 mitsubishi lancer. i just had the ac charged 2 months ago and had the system vacuumed out. any suggestions would help

Seems that about 2 days ago, my check engine light comes on and stays on after I have driven for a couple of min. I went to autozone and they said that since it is a 95 that it wont have odb 2 on it and their machines wont read it (they said this after asking the yr of my vehicle, they never took the time to actually look at it). The light is solid on and is not blinking. I am wondering if it if ok to drive the car until thursday or friday because that is when I am off of work, and the next two days I need a car to get me ten miles each way to work and back. And it is a 95 ford contour lx, 4 cyl, 2.0L zetec.

I drive a 93 Nissan King Cab Truck and the left headlight started flickering one day a couple weeks ago. Then it turned back on. Then it went back off. I have changed the bulb ($$$$ealed beam type) twice with no effect. Today I noticed it came back on when I started my truck. By the time I got to work it was not working.

Where do I start???
