I have a 1994 nissan sentra with a ga16det enigne and I have started modifying it. so far I have only put in a cold air intake, then I switched the gasket on the valve cover, and ever since then, when I rev high in 4th gear to shift into fifth, smoke comes out of the exhaust, which is kind of grayish blueish not too black..

I have a 2000 Chevy Monte Carlo and when I switch on my high beams, they turn on but if I let go of the switch, they do not stay on. Can anybody give me some answers to how to fix this problem.

I have an old car that is in amazing condition. It has "chrome wire wheels" which are the old spoked type and I wondered what the best way of cleaning, drying and polishing them was. We all see these amazing concours cars every now and again, how do they do it? My fingers are causing me agony! Please Help!

What is boost in a car? If it is when the turbo causes the manifold pressure to be increased how does this happen? Is it when more air molecules go in? Can someone please exlpain it to me and how it is measured? Please explain it in detail as I will understand everything. Thank you.

My front left wheel of my car is making clicking rattling noises and it gets worst as it goes over bumps. Also when I press on the gas pump or step on the break pad it makes a thump noise. Is it safe to drive?

I think it could be the Struts, Mount or CV Joints can anyone please help and also tell me where they recommend to get the car fix in NY area.

AC Compressor kicks on, pressure gauge drops very low compressor kicks off, pressure rapidly rises (which should be normal when AC is off).? I'm thinking it just needs some 134A added - any other ideas?

My car one morning would not start battery went dead over night. So i jump started her expecting it to re gain charge on the drive to work. It did'nt.

So i keep having to just start her and when driving for about 10 mins it dies on me. The rev counter stops working and the lights die out. Is this the battary or the alternator?

My exhaust was sounding rather funny, so i took it into a garage, they then told me they had to replace the exausht and a catalytic tube. They said this would cost me £250.
I called them this morning to arrange when to collect my car and they said they had to replace the 'back box' and that i would now have to pay £309.
Is this legal to alter my car without consent???

VW dealer recommended it as standard maintenance, but wanted a lot $$$ to do it. I have no problems with brakes, so is it really important? I'm thinkng I'll just wait until the brakes need replacing and that'll take care of it. BTW, the car is 3 years old.

I have a 1990 Pontiac Firebird V.6 3.1L it has 113,000 miles on it . It runs good and strong never could tell it was that old. I just got it on Saturday 7/ 7/ 7 how lucky is that an old lady owned it before me. It has stickers on it and passed inspections. I just wanted to know where could i take it to tune it up good and not a cheap job.

I was driving the car and it felt like the parking brake came on. I ended up getting the car towed. We replaced the calibers, rotors, pads, rubber brake line to the caliber. If it sits all night it will work fine for about half a mile then the brakes come on. HELP

I checked the car this morning. I did notice that the brakes were spongy like I did not bleed them, (which I did) and they felt correct. Well that is until they wouldn't release. This moring I tried not using the brakes I did have to a few times but it seemed like they were getting tighter on their own and the spongy feeling left the pedal. I got home before they were all hot and smoking but were dragging. The front were hotter then the back.

I was planning to buy a salvage car at an online auction and the only problem from what I see in the pictures is that the airbags are gone because of being stolen. My dad said salvage title is not good to buy, but I really want it. I'm just afraid of buying it because you get what you see so I can't examine anything else until I buy it. I'd really like to get some feedback especially if anyone's a mechanic and knows how much it would cost to get the driver's and passenger's airbags put into a car that's a 2005 honda pilot.

I was researching online and found out the Honda's ignition switches were recalled back in 2002..and since late last year, mine has been broken..or faulty or something. Is there a time limit that I have in order to call them about it? Or can I still get it fixed for free even 5 years after the recall?

I got all brand new tires. The max PSI writtin on the tire is 51. I put them to between 49 and 50. About a month later maby less, they all dropped down exactly 10 psi. Why? Im from south louisiana and its hot and humid...

It rained real bad here a few days ago and I ended up driving through high standing water. The next day, my truck started squeaking when I sat in it, turned the wheel, or hit a speed bump. What is going on? Any advice would be great. It is a 1996 Ford Explorer.
