I have a 2000 Chevy Monte Carlo and when I switch on my high beams, they turn on but if I let go of the switch, they do not stay on. Can anybody give me some answers to how to fix this problem.

you need a new light switch on it that's a simple one,those get a little worn and do this,replacing the switch will repair it,good luck on it,hope this helps.

this is a silly question but i have to ask it anyway, are you sure your pulling it back far enough? a lot of cars have a flash to pass set up meaning if you pull a little you can flash your high beams and if you pull a little harder they will click to high beam and stay there untill you pull again

try pressing the switch the opposite way, dont pull on it but push it. Some cars are like that

what you did was break the switch that turns on your high
beams. if so that something the shop has to fixed.
