Today, I was driving and I wasn't paying attention to the road and I stopped at a stop light. Then I realized that I was going the wrong way and turned on my turn signal. As I turned just a bit this van hit the side of my car where the tire is. It's not dented too bad, just a little bit scratched up.I tried to open the car door, but it only opened a tiny bit.Enough for me to squeeze through it and stuff. I'm not a small chick either. My door will open, but the hinged part will not let it open all the way. That's where it's dented in at, but not that bad. Should I just leave it like that or go and get it fixed? Should I get a crowbar and try to pull that part out myself? Is this karma for something I did in the past?

The lady in the other car wasn't mad or anything. She just happy that nothing worse happened. The weird thing is that I was on my way to the hospital to visist my mom. I tried to take a hammer (you know that crowbar part) to the car. That's how desparate I am.

Anyone know why my heat and ac only blow through defroster vents when i step on the gas. Works fine otherwise. Everytime I step on the gas it switches to only top vents. Someone mentioned anoth vaccuum line or relay in a weird spot on their car. It was behind the headlight on their jeep. Anyone heard of anything like this on a taurus.

My brakes started squealing a few weeks ago, so I checked them and they needed replacing. Easily done, replaced the brakepads, bled them, the whole bit. But they are still squealing? What could the problem be?

We only have a one car garage and his maverick is in it, is there anything else that can be done to keep us from getting fried every time we get into the car?

We're working on a 1990 Honda CR-X trying to replace the timing belt. To get to the timing belt we have to remove the harmonic balancer. The bolt that hold the harmonic balancer on is hopelessly stuck. We've broken 3 ratchets trying to get it off. We sprayed it with Bolt-Breaker and it still won't come loose. Does anyone have any suggestions?

As you drive and apply brakes, brakes develop less free play when released and will stay applied until truck is shut down and left off for a period of time. This is a hydravac system.

I bought this car 10 months ago for 550 and then paid 530 to have new breaks and tires put on it. Recently it blew a head gasket... I found someone who could fix the car for 300 dollars because they will charge a flat rate for fixing the car... Which is really good for me... but I was just wondering if it is worth it to put the money into this car... I mean, its really my only option right now... im only 17 and I turn 18 in October and plan on buying a new car then... I have no one who could help me get a car earlier because everyone I know has bad credit... but does anyone have suggestions on things I should look out for or if its worth it to put the money in this car? Im just really frustrated at the moment.

Just bought some Seafoam in hopes of clearing up some sluggish issues with my Z28. The layout of the engine bay is entirely different from my 240sx, and I'm looking for the place to put it for the intake. I was told brake booster line but that makes absolutely no sense, I'm not cleaning my brake lines, just the intake and what not. I think the ratio goes 1/3 as well, right? 1/3 in the gas tank, 1/3 in oil, and 1/3 through the intake.

Pushed the Axle in about 3/4 of an inch.
Will this hurt the inner seal for the Axle?
Will it hurt anything inside the Transmission (transaxle?) I am old shade tree mechanic, learning about Front End Drives--Thank You Very Much.

I just had my car in for work the other day and I feel like the hourly rate that the shop charged is a little high. It was $89/ hr. I know labor is a big part of the cost of getting work done, but I was wondering what is a decent hourly labor rate to look for? Or is $89/hr right in line with what I should expect? Thanks
