I Used the Gear Puller without unhooking the Tie Rod and Lower Arm Ball Joint?

Question

on a 97 Ford Contour---was going to Change the Wheel Bearing on passenger side.
Pushed the Axle in about 3/4 of an inch.
Will this hurt the inner seal for the Axle?
Will it hurt anything inside the Transmission (transaxle?) I am old shade tree mechanic, learning about Front End Drives--Thank You Very Much.

Nope.
You didn't hurt a thing.
They have free movement of 3/4"

Lol, I jumped in so I could be more knowledgable about cars, but I didn't understand I word you said ... back to my manual!
