Has anyone tried to dump the acid in weak 12v battery and install fresh acid in it....and recharge it to bring it back to life? If your a battery tech, why won't that work?

Do NOT try this. It is not worth the effort for what you're trying to save, plus the consequences of bodily harm to your self and the environment.

Did this many a time during World War Two because batteries were hard to come by.

This won't work. The reason the battery is bad is the plates and separators break down so changing the electrolyte will not correct this. Time for a new one.

Batteries are cheap enough at wal-mart, why would you even try to re-condition one?

What is causing the battery to draw down in the 1st place?

I am opposed to throwing new parts at a problem to fix it, but a battery?

For what it costs to buy a tank of gas nowadays I could buy 2 new batteries.

Grow up & get real!
