Today, I was driving and I wasn't paying attention to the road and I stopped at a stop light. Then I realized that I was going the wrong way and turned on my turn signal. As I turned just a bit this van hit the side of my car where the tire is. It's not dented too bad, just a little bit scratched up.I tried to open the car door, but it only opened a tiny bit.Enough for me to squeeze through it and stuff. I'm not a small chick either. My door will open, but the hinged part will not let it open all the way. That's where it's dented in at, but not that bad. Should I just leave it like that or go and get it fixed? Should I get a crowbar and try to pull that part out myself? Is this karma for something I did in the past?

The lady in the other car wasn't mad or anything. She just happy that nothing worse happened. The weird thing is that I was on my way to the hospital to visist my mom. I tried to take a hammer (you know that crowbar part) to the car. That's how desparate I am.

Yall have given me some good suggestions, but I don't know the normal girly terms for some of these words. I have no idea what a BMI is.. What is it?

For a temporary release of the door, have someone who knows what they are doing render a helping hand on where to apply the pry bar (or body spoon) for the proper tension for release of the bind at the door panel on the vertical edge by the fender in order not to do further damage. Sometimes applying grease (Vaseline can be used) on the rubbing area works. Also, if the left front fender cowl attaching bolts are released and the fender is pulled 1/8 to 1/2" forward, this might help.

You can take a prybar and adjust the alignment of the sheet metal. Open the door to where it binds and see what it is hitting on and pry the sheet metal until it is clear. good luck.
