I have an old car that is in amazing condition. It has "chrome wire wheels" which are the old spoked type and I wondered what the best way of cleaning, drying and polishing them was. We all see these amazing concours cars every now and again, how do they do it? My fingers are causing me agony! Please Help!

Anything from the S100 range.

Yup, it's a motorcycle cleaner and polish, but it doesn't know it's being used on a car! Excellent stuff for that showroom shine.

Solvol Autosol chrome cleaner and a toothbrush. You can buy it from most accessory shops and garages and it really is the best cleaner for chrome. The toothbrush allows you to get into all the awkward bits with out finger damage yet is not scratchy enough to damage the surface. Still needs a bit of elbow grease but it works.

Find a reputable detail shop & have the wire wheels only, detailed. It'll be worth it. I had 2 Jaguar XK-Es and those type wheels are NOT easy to clean. Detailers have small tools for cleaning tight spots like those wheels.
