I drive a 93 Nissan King Cab Truck and the left headlight started flickering one day a couple weeks ago. Then it turned back on. Then it went back off. I have changed the bulb ($$$$ealed beam type) twice with no effect. Today I noticed it came back on when I started my truck. By the time I got to work it was not working.

Where do I start???

sounds like a loose connection, either behind the bulb itself or the ground part of the circuit id bet.

Sounds like a short in the wiring to that light. The fix is not quick or easy. Start with the connection at the light and work backwards from there, checking the condition of the wire(s).

If it were a blown fuse, it wouldn't work at all, fuses don't heal themselves. You're looking at a loose wire or corroded connector on the back of the lamp itself.

fuses, then wiring. sounds like its not earthing properly, loose wire somewhere. the plugs that connect to the lights are not rusty.
