I have an older car and the headliner seems to have started peeling down, is there any product(adhesive) that I can purchase to stick it back up or keep it from progressing.

it looks like my radiator is leaking but i'm not sure. I have a 1990 buick lesabre. I just had the mechanic replace the water pump and cap (because cap didn't have seal). But i noticed today the fluid was still leaking. it leaks on the bottom right side (where the hose meets the radiator). but i also notice that there's remnants of fluid from the top where the cap is. but i think that was from before he replaced the cap.

Anyway, I don't know what to say to him when I bring it to him tomorrow. the "service engine soon" light comes on when i'm going over 60 on the interstate. help!! I already paid $464. I can't afford more. He said the radiator looked good though when i picked up the car yesterday. Help!!!!

Ive heard differing opinions, either yes change it it improves the life of your car, or dont change it it actually speeds up the decline of your transmission. I hav a 97 chevrolet cavalier, and as far as I know its never been changed. The fluid is reddish but seems to be dirty there is some muddy consistency to some of it. What should I do?

Recently, our 2003 YukonXL has been having electric seat problems. The up button goes down, and down goes up. Then the next week, the forward button sent the seat back and the back button sent the seat forward. This is just weird. Does anyone have the answer?

Front carpet gets wet when a/c is running. Mechanic says drain was clear, but didn't know what caused wet carpet. Due to low $$$ supply, I need to see if someone can show me a photo or diagram of the drain or the evaporator tube.

Can anyone recommend a good one that is reasonably priced? I want to get a vinyl cover that is velcro - not snap. I have been looking but there are too many - ranging from $200 to $500 - I assume the more money the longer they will last. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Hi,

A small part (a 2"ish plastic collar) appeared in my drivers footwell today and appeared to have broken off somewhere under the dash. The engine noise seemed to increase suddenly when this happened. I can't notice any difference when driving it but the extra noise in un-nerving. Does this sound like anything major or should I just carry on driving it untill I can get it to a garage?

Cheers,
Chris

Alright here's what has been going on. A few days ago I noticed the my explorer (v6 4wd) was kind of hicupping??? I don't know how to explain it. It thought it was that it was just up there in miles and I was driving with the ac on. Then yesterday someone cut me off... i had to stop quickly and when i started to go yesterday there were very clear hesitation like it was jerking. I decided to head to my moms house to see what was wrong on the way it was like it was hicupping and rickety the whole thing seem to be vibrating like an old truck... I don't know how to explain it really. It wasn't accelerating right and seemed to be loosing power. My stepdad took it for a ride and of course i looked like a loon cause it didn't do it again. I took it to auto zone and said it needed a tune up (new plugs and wires specifically) which honestly I haven't done in over two years. I bought that and my step dad started on it. two of the plugs are seized and he can't get them out

I've been having problems with my car engine (a 1974 renault engine). So far, the distributor has been removed and replaced (hopefully correctly in line with cylinder 1 begin TDC), condensor been replaced, new distributor cap.

However, now when I attempt to start the car it turns over and 'tries' to start as there is the definite sound of combustion in the engine, but the momentium isn't there for it to fire up completely.

I'm hoping this is just a warn battery issue (it is charging now), but failing this any other ideas?

Could the distributor been mounted incorrectly (I spend ages hooking this up and it seems correct now).

Any answers gratefully received.

Will it drive better or will i not really see a change? I'm wondering because the reason its being repaired it because it overheated and they first thought it was the head gasket but they see I blew the valves also.... Not to sure what all this means.

I've noticed a strange noise when driving my car, it sounds like a low pitched squeak, kinda off and on rapidly, the speed increases depending on the speed of the car.
The noise occurs when:

- I let off the accelerator completely
- I depress the clutch

The noise doesn't occur when the car is stopped, even if the engine is revved.

Anyone got any ideas? Thanks.

I have had three different alternators in my 91 Toyota Corolla in the last 6 months. The way my stereo is wired it bypasses the constant power wire and goes directly to my battery. For some reason there is no power in the constant power wire.

i have replaced ignition coil, 2 fuel pumps, 2 carbs, two condensors, wires, plugs, and still no solution. car drives fine on start up, but once i drive it for 10 to 15 minutes the idle drops and the car will backfire if i try to accelerate normally. it just recently started so no its not the fuel lines too close to the engine. plus i put a special coating around the lines to kleep them cool. wat could it be? will the points cause this, will timing being off cause this and why only after a 10 minute drive? anyone with the answer and an explanation of why their answer would or might be right will get best answer.

I have a 1990 camaro and last night I left my windows down and guess what.............it rained, so my interior got completely soaked. this morning i had to go to work, before leaving I checked to see if my power windows and doorlocks still worked they did, and then about 5min into the trip my doors locked themselves, and since then about every 30sec the doors will lock themselves, but its not always at the same time, sometimes just my left will lock and then 20sec later my right one will lock, I can manually unlock my doors but now my powered doorlocks dont work. what is going on? think if i just let the inside of the doors dry it will work again?
