Insist that they first drop the pan and change the filter, then exchange the fluid. You wouldn't take a shower and put on dirty socks and underwear. You might want to call several shops and ask whether they change the filter before you go.

I agree with Mike T that you should find a shop that will drop the pan and change the filter first---have them inspect the pan for worn clutch plate material and and metal particles to see what shape the trans is in before doing the flush..... with high miles, may not be worth doing a flush if the trans is on it's way out. If it's ok, then do the flush. Most filters are made of paper filter media and may plug up if not changed when doing the flush---that's the reason most people have trans problems after flushing if the filter is not changed.

for mine it cost 79.99 at a trani shop yeah they put new fluid but not a new filter because the flush cleans out the filter
