I have an older car and the headliner seems to have started peeling down, is there any product(adhesive) that I can purchase to stick it back up or keep it from progressing.

There's also Extra Strength Spray Trim Adhesive. I tried that on one of my old cars and didn't have much luck. There was a thin layer of foam between the cardboard and fabric and it was stable enough to hold the headliner up.

Its not pretty but evokes some interesting comments from passengers when they see it............Push Pins.

Nothing you can do short of sticking it up with straight pins. The fabric needs to be replaced. You can buy the fabric and adhesive at a parts or paint store. Remove the headliner board. Strip off the cloth and scrape all the foam off. Lay the cloth over the board and center it. Fold half of it back and spray both the board and cloth with adhesive.
Fold that part over and smooth out, then fold the second half back and do the same thing. Trim the excess and put back in car. The hardest part is removing and installing the headliner.

3m has a heavy duty spray on adhesive. The best way is to remove the headliner backing and material sand the backing and clean the old adhesive off then spray and press the material down after the adhesive dries a little. If you just spray and stick it will just come loose again. Or get another car.

Spray trim adhesive, You will need to remove the headliner and separate the fabric and scrape the old cement off before you reapply it. Good Luck and GOD Bless

once it starts coming down that`s it . The foam padding between the fabric and header board is dry rioted. .If you notice every time the inside of the car get`s hot ,the liner get`s tighter. When it ge`st tight it rips from the foam some more. You can order the liner kit n for less than 50 dollars.
