It seems like only when i first accelerate that it happens. Anything after that (like over 20 mph) it doesn't happen. It seems like something might be loose. Any ideas anyone?

Could be a loose belt in the engine compartment. Also, check your brakes. If they're getting low, some models have a plate that will rub against the brake disk, and cause a squealing, that sounds like it's under the car, and usually only heard at low speeds. Good luck

Sounds like a bad belt on the front of the car. The initial torque from acceleration can cause a squeel even on a good belt. Also, you may have a slow leak which could have put moisture on the belt or one of the pulley's check the belt systemon the motor for dry rot and cracks. Consider mileage too. After like 80k I would replace em if they haven't failed yet.

The squealing is probably a belt. That's an easy an inexpensive thing to fix.
