I'm trying to get a cable through the bulkhead of a peugeot 406 estate:- i can't seem to find a grommet to use. Can someone tell me specifically, where there is a grommet/hole to get through the bulkhead.

it was my dad's car and he has just passed away - i need to treat this car with the ultimate respect and care - there is no way i can risk damaging it in any way by drilling a hole "blind" in case i hit something the other side or add an "open wound" for rust to get in

As a compromise, is there anywhere i can "tap" a 35/40amp supply inside the car -I'm not usually a person to compromise but in this case [see last paragraph] I would rather bin the caravan than mark the car in any way.

Has anyone tried running a cable UNDER this type of vehicle, are there enough attachment points - i can protect the cable from damage by running it inside an old hosepipe

come on guys , holidays are looming!

It is common to run wiring underneath a car and you can use hose or buy a length of fiber wire loom to thread it through if you like. Of course keep it away from hot exhaust components. Tie it off to the frame members every two or three feet with ty-raps and you are set.

in case you have self belief that could be a grounding subject, MAKE your guy or woman floor!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Dont floor it to the seat belt bolt, or to the seat, or on your jack holder, and for the sake of not being called a retard dont stick it in a can of dirt! a million. pick a sturdy floor-not the above, yet some place on your motor vehicle which you will grind the paint off and applying a Self tapping screw and a drill (dont forget the hoop terminal and lock washers) with out any form of gasoline lines or oil feed lines or brake lines or different wiring is going, drill it in. Make it below 18 inches (confident 3 ft is the guideline, yet in trouble-free terms at a optimum) and stick it in. If nevertheless no sounds, verify your with out delay corroding battery for great connection. nevertheless no 12 volts? Take it to a shop and throw them 50 and a pizza and have them discern it out.

i would just run it under the car... pick up some plastic wire ties and anchor it to the fuel lines, then run it up through the drain plugs in the back.
