So my car is a 1995 Eclipse GST. No one I've known has ever owned a turbo. I've been readin and it says I shouldn't shut it off right away. Well damn, I've been doing since I got it in March. The radiator fan is right in front of the Turbo. So does it really matter. I'm saving up for a turbo timer right now. Or should I not worry. Also, what else do I need to do. I've been puttin premium after my dad accidentyl put regular 87. Thanks

I have a 2000 Chevy Malibu, and a few days ago I noticed while driving that my turn signals stopped working. At first it was working as normal, then suddently it stopped mid-drive...what exactly could it be? Is it worth taking to a mechanic who is going to screw me over or is it a simple part I can buy and replace myself?

yeah my closet door is stuck and I cannot open it. I have tried every trick in the book and It will not budge. I have even gotten like 15 of my friends to try to open it but they haven't gotten it open. It has been almost a week and I really need my vacume and My place is starting to get really filthy. So any ideas on what I should do would be apreciated. This seems wierd that I cant get it open but I just cant. (Also Busting it down would cost me $500 and I really cant afford to pay for something that stupid right now).

Recirculation shuts off air from the ouside and cools air inside the passenger compartment. Does it increase compresor load? I know air outside will be fresh, but what does that really mean in terms of thermodynamic benefit?

I have an 2005 Tiburon and it makes this grinding noise when going between 5-10 miles an hour. It seems to be the worse when turning at that speed. Sounds like metal on metal. How can create a quick fix for this problem? Thanks.

i had a ant problem in my car and I made the foolish mistake of using ant powder on the seats. they are not leather and they just soaked up the powder. now my seats have white marks all over them. I've tried vacuuming, scrubbing with soap and water, and bissel all purpose cleaner. I think it just made it worse. what can I use to clean the seats? please help

It's a blood stain in the backseat, so I don't have to see it everyday. I debated just leaving it. I tried to clean some other stains in my car with oxyclean, but the upholstery faded in that area. I really don't want to risk ruining my awesome print upholstery. Since this stain is blood, I'm afraid that it will ruin my chances for any other backseat passengers. I mean, how unsanitary, right?

The interior has only a moderate burn smell and some melted dashboard problems. It doesn't run because the entire engine was engulfed in flames. What do you think, any chance my car can run again?

I just drove 10 miles after the oil change and the oil filter fell off, when i was on highway. I pulled-off & checked my engine to see that there was no oil left. My engine got locked out!

I reported to the Jiffy lube & customer service person says that they will take care of the repair. Means, they will replace my engine with a used engine.

What would be the best resolution at this point?

I do not want to let them put some engine in my car and escape from what they had done. How can i rely on a used engine that they put in? My car was a well maintained 2000 Toyota Corolla.

Should i go to small claims court & get a compensation for the car rather than going for replacing the engine? I dont know how it will work out and how long it would take. I dont have any contacts with a lawyer to take legal views etc.

I appreciate and thank you for your suggestions. I am from Cincinnati, Ohio

I really do not trust mechanics here in Detroit,MI. (past expierence) When has there ever been a oil change with no oil/ $120 full tune up with the same air filter??? Those ar ejust a few problems I have encountered with this scam artist here in Detroit,MI. My question is do I have the right to watch the mechanic work on my vehicle inside the garage area to make sure he is actually changing out the right parts????

I was given this useful pamphlet on the parts that are located under the hood of my car (ex. engine oil filter, belts, power steering fluid)

it has directed me to check monthly making sure that these and others are in good condition and working well.

I plan on going to a technician for a full check up someday, but can I also look for myself?

Sometimes there is a hesitation at startup, especially when backing up. On longer trips (over 1 hour) there is a whining noise and vibration.
Can an mechanic see if there is a problem by dropping the transmission pan? Is that an expensive job?
