okay so i bought a 1991 toyota tercell and its okay... i mean it works.... but the look of it isn't that great so here a brief description...... Red 2dr all the tries look like spares and the bumper is like a black plastic that has the weathered plastic look(pealing an faded) the windsheilds cracked but im already fixing that there isn't any tinting or A/C so its freakin hot and the Drivers seat is a little torn i either want it replaced or just not visable. the Seat belts are a little frayed, which could be a safety issue? and the intertior has been keep in good condition but there isn't any way of knowing the oil level or Rpm...............luckly there are no dents that i could find or scracthed but it looks like there is a plastic layer over the paint job and its starting to come up, So how do you think i can "pimp my ride"?

I heard somewhere that changing your oil too much is bad for your car? Like, every 500-1000 miles. Is this true or is it just a wive's tale?

Just wondering if there is an easy way to get rust off of steel wheels without bead blasting them. I was also wondering how to clean out the air vents and those anoying nooks and crannies in a cars interior. If any body knows how to get rid of nicotine stains on interior fabrics and surfaces it would make my car look great.

How often do brake rotors usually need to be changed? I got a 1996 bmw sedan and i changed the brake rotors maybe 8,000-10,000 miles ago and know the brakes are starting to make some noices again so I was hoping its just the pads not the rotors also.

I just bought a 98' Buick Skylark about 3 weeks ago. This week the brakes started to squeak. The dealer said that he had just put new brakes on the car. It only squeaks when I am going really slow and about to make a complete stop. I don't know much about cars. How do I fix this?

Someone said if the refrigerant gets too low, the AC compressor will stop turning itself on, so recharging is futile because the compressor won't run. They said that I would have to short something in order to get the compressor running again to circulate the new refrigerant. Do you guys know anything about this? If you do, how do you go about shorting the compressor? Thanks for any help!

I drive a 2002 Lexus Es 300 and I got into a minor accident that left a dent in left door panel. I went and got it partially fixed with some bondo and long story short, they decided to paint the whole door and the panel that is above the tail light and next to the trunk. It is on the right side of the trunk when you open it. The top of this area is noticeably yellow and completely different from the color of my car which is Lexus Pearl White.
It is really bothering me because the day I left the shop with the paint job, it looked perfect and matched the factory paint job I had and they told me it took then 4-5 hours to get the paint that matched it. What I noticed was in a span of a week the paint turned subtly YELLOW! It did rain during that week, I am wondering what the heck happened and what can be done to correct or help it besides repainting it again. Which cost 300-400 dollars to do. I am not sure if I am willing to repaint this part, let alone repainting the whole car. Thanks

I have a 1992 Corsica V6 and within the last few weeks I have had to refill the brake fluid after the light came on to inform me that it was low. After replacing the fluid today I noticed that I had to push the brake all the way to floor and still had some difficulty in stopping. I was told that I needed to replace the caliper. Another person stated it was probably just a hose and I may also need to replace the front pads as a result of brake fluid saturating them. Which one of these problems seems more likely, if either? All suggestions are welcome. Thanks!

So I recently purchased the above vehicle only to find that my Emergency Brake isn't functioning, as in i can put my car in neutral on a very gentle slope, pull the e-brake back, and it will roll, with almost no difference. Are there any obvious reasons that it does this / is there anyway i can fix this? Thanks in advance

so all i know is changing your muffler will boost your car by about 5 hp but then i gotta chain the headers. someone also told me i can change my intake. I'm new with cars and could someone tell me the price, the amount of power (hp/torque) i gain, and what to do with which part.

carbon fiber parts are different. just performance parts.

I failed twice now.
After the first one I took it into the shop and had a Smog Test Diagnostic done. I had to replace the Flange Gasket, clean the Fuel Injectors, Change the Oil, & Clean the Throttle Body. I took it back to the Smog Testing place and it failed. I took it to another place and asked if they could make any adjustments and they wanted me to pay them for another Smog Diagnostic. I JUST HAD THAT DONE! Anyway, I need to know what adjustments I can make on the car so that it will pass. I have a 1994 Toyota Corolla. I know that it is JUST adjustments that need to be made on the fuel intake and emissions output. It has nothing to do with whether the car is in working condition or not. I am in the San Diego area if you can recommend a place that will help make the adjustments cheap and help it pass.
Thanks for your help.
