My '74vw is sounding louder than normal. Maybe a tuneup is needed? Hadn't had one since i bought it. Guy before me had it in a garage for several years but still sounded good wheni bought it several months ago. Just recently it has gotten just a little louder. I'm a new bug owner my first bug any suggestions is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Check for gasket leaks in the exhaust system. Either that or your silencer has rusted out. The silencer is the chrome exhaust pipes that come out of the back.

It makes use of a flat-4 inner combustion engine; a 4 cylinder engine the place the cylinders are arranged in a flat configuration. It had forged iron cylinders, sturdy crankshaft and connecting rods, and forged aluminium heads and pistons. Overhead valve, in many cases aspirated and air-cooled. The cylinders prolonged fins to extend the finished floor section and cooling performance of the engine. The engine became rear fastened and air-consumption louvres allowed the engine's fan to entice cool air from outdoors with the intention to pass over the engine.
