it is entirely possible that the suspension arm may have been damaged and possible that the inner wing may have sustained some damge on the impact the brake disc had with the ground when it dropped
alot depends on the age of the car

but without further investigation it is hard to say

people may speculate all they like - but my advise - get it checked by a reputable repairer

why did the wheel fly off? was it still attached to the hub? or had somone tried to nick your wheels?

well, dependent on how fast you were going, i'd have the suspension strut inspected, ball joints and track rod ends... then check the retaining circlip which holds the wheel to teh driveshaft assembly...

and when it hot the floor, did it bottom out on the chassis or the sump?

and to be honest, if its over 10 yrs old, scrap it and buy something else... (flog it on ebay)

average cost for something like this is around £500 to £1000... unless its a beemer/volvo/merc or audi then its just not worth repairing... unless youre a competent mechanic... i'm guessing not...

Thought I should have tightened those lug nuts? Suspension parts like the end of the sway bar link may have been ground down lower control arm. I like sparks did it happen at night? You will have to lift it up and replace some parts..Good Luck We call front wing a Fender in USA

We lived 100 yards from our local garage.
A car drove past our house and the wheel came off.
The garage had not replaced the wheel nuts.
Check the work of those 'professionals'!

Yes, someone could have rammed into you when the wheel flew off.

without seeing it, its impossible to say.. you need to take it to a garage or get it checked by someone who knows what they are doing..

it probably needs to go on a ramp, so that you can see the underside of the car properly.
