So I recently purchased the above vehicle only to find that my Emergency Brake isn't functioning, as in i can put my car in neutral on a very gentle slope, pull the e-brake back, and it will roll, with almost no difference. Are there any obvious reasons that it does this / is there anyway i can fix this? Thanks in advance

At best, the e-brake just needs to be adjusted. Usually there is an adjuster under the center console (if it's a hand brake). Or, if it is a foot brake or not under the console, it is along the cable under the car. The e-brake works by a cable attached to the lever in the cab (either hand or foot brake) that goes to the rear brakes. When actuated, the cable causes the back brakes to be applied. At worst, your rear brakes do not work and need to be repaired. Start by adjusting the e-brake and see where that takes you.

The Parking Brake, it will not stop you in an emergency, seldom needs to be adjusted.
Most likely your rear brakes are out of adjustment or worn severely.
Have it checked out by qualified people.
