I have a 2001 Ford Focus LE I am going to try to change it myself and no absolutely nothing about doing so. I will need a thorough step by step instruction rule. Pleas do not suggest I buy a manual or take it to a garage. I am a single mom, and haven't got the money to pay for any extras. Please only answer if you can sincerely help. Thank you so much.

oil temp guage starts in the middle. How can I tell if it runs hot or If i just need the guage set properly. If its just the guage how do I go about fixing that?

Ok so I bought a 2000 mercury cougar a few months ago and love it but just brought it to the shop cuz of this noise and i guess it needs new struts, has a mysterious oil leak, and the guy said i should try to sell it cuz i might just be puting tons of money into it down the road....( it also has rust breaking out) so should i sell or put money into it?? thanks!

The Chevy dealer charges $58 for an oil change. Tires Plus has a special for $18 but its Kendall synthetic oil. Can I substitute? Or will it void my warranty?

I turned on my engine and after several seconds it just stopped. First, I checked my fuel gauge. There was enough in the fuel tank so that's not the cause. Luckily it happened at home. Yesterday the engine worked just fine as I drove about 240km that day.

Mine came with factory tinted windows. My previous one didn't and was done at a shop and they said not to use Windex but some cleaner they had. Were they trying to sell their product or is there some truth to it because of the ammonia?

I have an '86 silverado. I put a new 350 in it. New carb and new almost everything. When I shut the key off, it diesels. I have had so many people look at this problem. I even have the idol turned way down to the point where I am stalling at lights. the timing is right on the dot! No one can tell me whats going on! the way I have been shutting it off is just flooding it after I turn the key. I've shut it off in drive, and it still diesels down. Sometimes when its warm out, it will shut off perfect, other times it won't. I have even had the vacuum advanced replaced and the distributor cap replaced. The choke is also set to where it is supposed to be. I need answers!!! PLEASE HELP!! -Thank you

s not make any difference!I changed all filters & oil 4 months ago.It has done 350,000 miles..god bless it...but now im not sure if it's nearly over,for the work horse????It really is unbearable what its giving off, I drove back from cornwall y.day to midlands,Folk in the back of the van said how much it stank,Its not pilin black smoke out of the exaust...any ideas what it may be, or to look for signs of what the problem is....I just wanted 1 more summer out of it!

my clutch pedal became real spongy, and doesnt have alot of spring left to it. i read some articles and after looking under my clutch pedal, i determined that my clutch master cylinder was shot. I could see the fluid leaking from the seals.

So when i went to the dealership to order the clutch master cylinder, then recommended that i replace the slave as well ( due to the part only costing 20 bucks.

This is my understanding of how it works

1) Driver pushes down the clutch pedal
2) The Clutch Master Cylinder gets pressed wich forces the hydraulic liquid to move in the hard line between the Clutch Master Cylinder and the Clutch Sladve Cylinder.

I understand that when the clutch is pushed in, it separates the plates, but what role does the clutch slave cylinder serve?

I have a good article on replacing the clutch master cylinder but replacing the clutch slave cylinder i am clueless.

Sometimes when I drive at an excess of 60mph my car seems to start vibrating until I come to a complete stop, I even feel it as im applying the breaks on my car. The problem is it doesnt do it all the time. What gives?

i have a 1986 ford ranger with the 2.3 four cylinder. i have a problem with the fuel pump. the fuel pump keeps running continuously when you turn the key on. i have already changed the fuel pressure regulator and that did not help. is it a sensor or the pump itself or any other ideas. there are no trouble lights on in the cab. it is running like an old carburated engine that's loading up in midrange power. this truck is fuel injected and i have cleaned the injectors thoroughlly.

I recently put a 4bbl manifold on my 77 mustang II. The manifold was stamped 289 on the bottom and the temp sending unit was a 1/4" pipe thread the temp sending unit on and my old manifold was 3/8" pipe thread. Well I found one to fit it, but now my temp reads too high on the gauge. I'd like to keep the factory look of the manifold, so I don't want to use reduces or couplers. It has a 180 deg. stat. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

When I first moved to my current location I was using one auto repair shop until I noticed my car was worse every time they "fixed" it. After a tune-up in July I noticed that my display lights for the time and station information would sometimes make a click noise then I wouldn't be able to see the time or anything... also I have had the brake light stick here and there. My Suzuki was also not idling right always and sometimes felt as if it were going to stall. Well come today I turn the car on the check engine light was on. I took it to Suzuki this time because this other place also messed up my brakes.. and Suzuki told me I needed a tune up because some of the spark plugs were not working right.. I told them I just had one and they looked and said that the wrong spark plugs were put on. This other place says they won't cover it since I had someone else fix it plus they claim on the phone they weren't the wrong ones (I have the ones they used) Do these problems come from bad tune-up

We can't get in my husband's car! The passenger's side handle only works from the inside, and the driver's side won't unlock. It wouldn't unlock the other day and we thought it was because it was so cold out - some hot water and effort got it. But now even when it's nice out we can't get it to unlock, and we need in the car. Any idea how to get it? It's a 1987 Mercury Grand Marquis.

my cars a92 ford timpo befor buting the battery in backwards i replaced the plugs wires and distributer cap.with the battery in back wards it and try to fire witch was more than what i was getting beforand then i heard a loud pop i then stoped tried anew battery the correct way it turnd over but would not start

My 1999 Dodge Durango ran out gas and the battery went dead when I tried to start it , I put gas in it and charged the battery still nothing, I sent it to the dealer he checked the computer, fuel lines, spark plugs,air filter, and electrical system
still nothing, I towed it away to another place he double checked it and still nothing all the car does is crank with no choke not even a cough even after putting gas in the carb even after pumping the injectors somebody help me because I am baffled... it is a 1999 Dodge Durango 2x2 318 engine
