Mine came with factory tinted windows. My previous one didn't and was done at a shop and they said not to use Windex but some cleaner they had. Were they trying to sell their product or is there some truth to it because of the ammonia?

you can use windex on your factory windows with no problems.

I have never had a problem using windex on my windows and they are factory tinted/

using windex is usually not a problem for most window films,i have used it for years with no bad effects but check with supplier of car to be sure. Happy motoring.

if it is factory tint you can because the tint is in the glass not applied over top it. The ammonia turns after market tint purple but your fine on factory tint i use it all the time
