I drive a 96 Chevy Tahoe. Whenever I get to 45 mph, the wheel starts shaking a bit. I'd say it ranges from 43-47. Does anyone know why this is?

I asked this same question before and said:
The problem is weird. The car vibrates when I am idle. Meaning when I am at a red light or stop sign. Sometimes when i am in idle, it doesn't vibrate. But at those times if I decide to turn on the A.C. it may start to do so. If I start the car and decide to put the power windows down while the car is at rest it will vibrate also. Sometimes when I am at a red light, if I put the car in neurtral the vibrating will stop but sometimes it keeps going. When the car is in park and I decide to give a tiny bit of gas to the car the vibrating may also stop. What do you suppose that the problem may be. I haven't been able to turn on my A.C. for a while because of the vibrating gets worse.
I have an black 03 Camry 4 cylinder engine. It has an automatic transmission.
I have previously had motor mounts replaced, fuel filters cleaned, alternater belts changed, it still does so.

Well, you guys had some really good answers, but i had the alternator checked and everything is good. I took my positive cable off over night just so the computer would reset and the next day the battery light stopped coming on, but when it gets warm it still bogs down. Could it be the vacuum line or is it something worse?

Driving down the highway at 6am and my driver's window just exploded inward. There was no one close to me on road, I didn't see anything come towards the car. There is no damage to the frame or the body except small scratches on the body from the broken glass. The temperature outside was about 60 degrees. Has anyone ever heard of this happening? The window was totally shattered. My car is a 2004 - anyone have any ideas?

I recently bought a Caddy & today I listened to the built in alarm go off for 20 minutes before I was told to turn the key in the driver door. Apparently when I hit the lock button the system arms & is turned off by unlocking the car door. My problem is that when I hit the lock button, the doors DONT lock.So when I go to leave, I just open the door! Its all electric, 4 door. What is going on? Can I get the locks to lock? Can I disable the alarm system? How is this set up supposed to keep my car from being stolen?

I have a 2001 maxima automatic and it just recently started downshifting harsh..i feel it when it downshifts at 60km/h and when it downshifts to first..its very evident its downshifting!

Once i accidently put it into reverse rather than neutral from drive and the car shut off...was that a safety feature or was there some damage down? I quickly put it back into neutral though. This happened more than a month ago though.

Any help would be deeply appreciated!

I do not know much about cars, but I think that my engine is getting too hot. My coolant temperature gauge stays a little above the middle point, not near the red line. My add-on water temperature gauge usually reads 210 degrees, but I wouldn't say that the gauge is trustworthy.

After going for a short drive (less than a mile), and parking the car in the garage it feels hot, and I can smell the smell of a "hot engine" - not burning oil smell.

My coolant level in the reservoir is just a tad bit below full hot and right on the "full cold" level.

I plan on flushing out the radiator/cleaning the radiator tomorrow.

Is my engine too hot or am is it just my personal thinking?

I drove the car over 20 miles in 80 degree weather today and had no problems.

I have a fuel leak around the fitting going into the fuel rail on a 3.1 chevy v6. I had taken the fuel line out to do some repairs, when I put everything back together it started leaking. Other than tightening the fuel line fitting as tight as possible the only thing I can think of is plumbers teflon tape. Any opinions, thoughts or advice would be appreciated.

I have a 2001 Ford Sport Trac. It began to run rough (especially cold or idle) immediatly after getting a smog check. The mechanic insisted that he didn't have to unplug/disconnect anything to do the smog. "It's all visual."

I don't trust that he hasn't done something accidently. Now he wants to look at it and charge me. It seems too coincidental.

I have replaced alternator, battery, and alternator belt. Could It be that I have the wrong amperage altenator, or would that affect it? Its a cheap altenator from Autozone.

Eng rebuilt, 10.5:1 comp. Friend had same problem. Tried vent cover filters both sides, hooked pvc valve to primary rear carb. Eng produces internal pressuer not able to get it down. If use sealed covers it blows out gaskets. Oil messy

I just bought a 98 ford escort spirit and when I drive it is goo just fine but after I start slowing down ( put on the brakes) it bounces in the front end. I thought it was the roters but that is suppose to vibrate. Also the engine rattles in idle at the lights. Any suggestion of what I need to do would be greatful. And no I'm not trashing it. I need to get to work.
