I drive a 96 Chevy Tahoe. Whenever I get to 45 mph, the wheel starts shaking a bit. I'd say it ranges from 43-47. Does anyone know why this is?

Gee u didn't say if it was sideways...if ur wheel pulled one way or another. Besides wheel weights, there are tie rod ends, shocks, and bushings. So, some harmonic gets it shaking. Take a look under that front for worn stuff, it should be noticeable

Wheel balance is out on a front tyre. The centrifugal force as the heavier part of the wheel spins makes it shake and bounce, which can be felt through the steering wheel.

Wheels need balancing. Its a very simple, inexpensive and quick process, so get it done asap.
With continued driving it will get worse, and under such circumstances the vibrations cause tension and wear on tires, drive shafts, suspension joints, steering joints and more.
If tires run off unevenly at insides or outsides of the thread patern, wheel alignment needs checking too.

Need a wheel balance on the front end. You lost a wheel weight.

Yup get your wheels balanced, that is the problem for sure. Now if it was more like 55-60 I would say hsve your front end inspected for extra play.

Could be wheel balance if it goes away at higher speeds,Or it could be the fact you are having sex in the vehicle while you aren't driving.

I would have the wheel alignment checked, balance your tires if it has been awhile. Have your brake rotors checked for warpage. Could also be your wheel bearings.
