Remove the negative lead from the battery. If the engine dies, then the alternator is faulty.

Your belt could be loose, a connection could be bad, the alternator may be defective. Go to "a different " auto parts store, ask them to check your electrical system. "Do not" tell them that you replaced everything. They will check your alternator output, battery test, system drains. If the alternator is bad, you know where to go.

You must have a short in your car's electrical system. Also check the battery terminals especially the Negative to make sure it's not the cause of your problem.

check the battery clamps. or the connection on the back of the alternator to see if it's correct or see if your alternator belt is slipping. and just perhaps your engine idle is also too low.

It definately sounds like an alternator issue. If you continue with this alternator, it will eventually leave you stranded somewhere!!

i never heard of the dim,when you give it gas.i heard of them get brighter,but not dimmer.its probably the belt or alternator.
