Was this a even swap, or an upgrade attempt? Check the fuel pressure regulator. Make sure all of the smog sensors are plugged in. Try a different computer. If all else fails, kick the truck repeatedly, while cursing at it in as many languages as possible.
GM is famous for subtle variations in the wire harness from year to year. Get a hold of the wiring diagrams for your year truck as well as the year and model vehicle of the engine you put in. For instance if you were putting a 1996 LT1 from an FBody in a 1995 B-Body, you need the diagrams from both year cars to match up wire colors. Hope this helps! Good Luck!

OK HERE WE GO YOUR CODES ARE OR SHOULD BE KNOCK SENSOR AND COOLANT TEMP SENSOR I'M USING A NEWER GM BOOK BUT THEY SHOULD BE CLOSE . PROBLEM WITH ENGINE IS THAT A LOT OF THE TIME THE GROUNDS DO NOT GET HOOKED BACK TO THE BODY OR THE ENGINE AND IT SOUNDS LIKE ITS WHAT HAPPENED HERE. BECAUSE OF THE CODES ITS THROWING OUT SO CHECK ALL THE GROUNDS THEY ARE IMPORTANT. THERE IS ONE FROM THE BACK OF THE BLOCK TO THE FIRE WALL ON THE RIGHT SIDE ENGINE. (BARE WIRE BRAIDED) THERE ARE THREE MORE AT THE FRONT OF THE ENGINE BY THE RADIATOR HOSE NECK ON THE ENGINE. CHECK THEM ALL

sounds like---------------. doesnt matter what it sounds like. call your local (or not) auto zone and they will tell you what the codes mean. my guess is replacement engine rated for lowed fuel pressure than the old one. could be pump or regulator, or both.
