could fuel problem or something else cause trans. to shift at wrong times? trans. was just rebuilt!!!!!!!!!!

its a sensor that goes next to the fuel filter im not sure what it is though and im not sure what to tell the auto part store what im looking for its not in the haynes manual is there a webste that might have a picture you could look at to try to find it? thanks for your help if you can

I SUCKED WATER THROUGH MY AIR FILTER, I HAVE REMOVED THE WATER FROM MY CYLINDERS, CHANGED THE OIL, AND HAVE PUT WATER REMOVER FLUID INTO MY FUEL SYSTEM. THE CAR SEEMS TO RUN FINE, BUT THE EXHAUST SOUNDS LIKE THERE IS WATER IN THE MUFFLER AND WHEN THE CAR IS IN IDLE (PARKED OR JUST A STAND STILL) THE CAR VIBRATES. IS THIS JUST WORKING THE WATER OUT OF THE SYSTEM? DO YOU HAVE ANY OTHER SUGGESTIONS OF WHAT I SHOULD DO OR SHOULD I JUST TAKE IT TO THE MECHANIC BEFORE SOMETHING EXTREMELY SEVERE HAPPENS? I DO NOT BELIEVE I HAVE DONE ANY DAMAGE TO RODS OR ANYTHING. WATER JUST BRIEFLY WENT OVER MY HOOD AND THEN THE CAR DIED IMMEDIANTLY. HELP!!!!!!

I had to change the battery in my 1994 Volvo 850, and now the radio won't play because it needs the "code" to reset it. However, the owner's manuals are long-gne, and I don't know what the code is. I'm afraid that if I go to the dealer, they will charge me an arm and a leg. Can anyone tell me how to re-set the radio without the code?

i could get a real paint job but i like the color of primer better.

is there any way to get that same color while avoiding the disadvantages present when just using primer

Yamaha siad the reason for my carb shootting gas out was becase the weather changed so quickly thet they still have not changed from winter to summer time gas.

I’ve just returned from a ride on my car (Audi 90) and I got a problem. Front left wheel does not spinning smooth. It makes a feeling that instead a wheel there is an egg. It is shaking my car a little bit between 0-40 mph. A wheel looks good and not going to fall off I hope. :) What is wrong?

Check engine light came on. Code said problem was on the 2nd bank. Mechanic told me he wasnt sure if it was the O2 sensor or the cat. After a week Check engine light went out. A month later, now its back on. Went back to get it checked and they told me the same thing. Which one could it be? It doesnt have alot of power like it should. Everything else seems to be running normal. No rattling on the cat or no glow. So what do you think it could be? It is a 96 Ford Taurus V6. Gas mileage really hasnt changed. Thank you for all your help!!!!

ok i used to have a really bad transmission fluid leak in m ycar- turned out to be a bad pump in th transmission, along with some other things. Set me back about a grand. So after that was fixed the car was running great. I checked the oil and it was at the red mark (full).

About 2 weeks later (today) I check my oil and it is barely above 1/2 full!!! I look under the car and cannot spot a "leak", however I look under the hood and I see on the bottom of the engine it looks like oil is dripping - it is mostly falling on this part that looks drenched in oil - im not sure if its the pan or not.

I checked the oil today on a cold engine though - might it be higher if I check it after running the car for a while?

1991 Mercedes 350sdl.

Ok, wifes car comes home, check engine light on. Turns it off. Thinks nothing more of it till next day. When she went to start it, no interior light, no display idiot lights on dash, no cranking over...nothin'. Battery has a ~6v charge. (short somewhere?)Cleaned terminals, her and her dad checked fuses said they were ok (as in the fuse box behind the interior dimmer switch).
Is there a relay that might be responsible? Is there is a hidden fuse pannel/relay box,that might contain some "master fuse", if so where would it be located at?

I HAVE A 78 BUICK REGAL I AM PUTTING A 455 MOTER WITH A TURBO 400 TRANSMISSION IN IT OUT OF A LATE 70'S MODEL HOW MUCH MORE POWER OFF THE LINE WILL IT HAVE THAN A SMALL BLOCK 350 AND WILL HAVE TOO CHANGE MY REAR END IT HAS THE STANDARD 10 BOLT I THINK BUT I ALSO HAVE A 600 ELEDRBROCK CARB INTAKE NOT ON YET WILL I HAVE TO TEAR INTO MY BLOCK 2 IMPROVE MY PERFORMANCE

can someone tell me whats wrong this carb has been freshly rebuilt but my prob is if i am cruising and ive it a bit of a punch it hesitates for maybe 1/2 sec. then it screams like crazy has anyone else had the same problem this is on a ford 302 motor with e-303 cam and1.7rr

My gas guage has recently gone way past the full mark and now sits straight down (imagine the 6 on a clock) when the car is turned off. But when I start the car the needle goes up and sits under the peg (imagine a 9 on a clock). What could be the problem and how much of a cost am I looking at to get it back to normal (9 & 12)?

The gas mileage for my van seems to bottom out in the summer months when I have to use the air conditioning. This year, so far, it seems worse than ever. I am getting about 30 miles less on a tank of gas. Any suggestions or insights?
