Ok, wifes car comes home, check engine light on. Turns it off. Thinks nothing more of it till next day. When she went to start it, no interior light, no display idiot lights on dash, no cranking over...nothin'. Battery has a ~6v charge. (short somewhere?)Cleaned terminals, her and her dad checked fuses said they were ok (as in the fuse box behind the interior dimmer switch).
Is there a relay that might be responsible? Is there is a hidden fuse pannel/relay box, that might contain some "master fuse", if so where would it be located at?
Thanks everybody!

i own a repair shop and from what you said about it ,this might be caused by a bad alternator on it that could have ran it down that low, either that or she left something on ,but that wouldn't make the check engine light come on,its probably going to need an alternator, you can take this off and have it checked before you buy one for it,this would be better than buying things you might not need for it,have the alternator and the battery checked before you buy any parts for it,good luck i hope this helps.

if your battery show,s a 6 volt reading.........that,s less than half needed to function........first check your cable connection,s......must be clean & tight........then charge your battery......need at least 12 volt,s......if it won,t take the charge.....you need a new battery.....if it does.....try to start...if it wont start...check fuse,s/relay,s,starter,engine ground strap, neutral safety switch, ignition switch.....if it does start....check your voltage output.......should read 12.5 to14.5......if not check alternator belt, alternator, all associated wireing......if all this check,s good.....then check for battery drain when shutdown......slight drain can be attributed to your computer, programable radio,etc......any more than half a volt must be investigated.......hope this help,s you...good luck!

Time, vibration and women can cause a lot of problems. Don't know about the actual problem.
