I am racking my brain on my 99 kia 2dr 2wd sportage. I have replaced almost everything on it to get it to run. It will start, but when you try to give it gas it wants to die or dies, and want start back up for about 20 min. Fouls plugs and some times has that sulfur smell coming out of the exhaust. It wont rev but will idle for about 4 minutes. I have put almost $1000 worth of new and used parts on it. DON'T KNOW WHAT ELSE TO DO? PLEASE HELP!

I've recently had repairs done to fix an egr problem on my vehicle after which the check engine light was reset. I own an ODB II reader so I can check the codes. Will it give me a code that tells me its not yet ready for an emission test? or how can I tell when I've driven long enough to go in for the emission test. Thanks

So i have a 2001 Honda civic LX, and I got hit about a month ago. I have absolutely no money to fix it because I have no job at the moment, volleyball is everyday. So its driving me crazy not having a car, so ive decided to take it upon myself to attempt to fix it. It doesn't look bad, i got hit in the front corner of my car, driver side. The bumper is torn off in that corner, the fender is bent, and its wobbly when it drives. I think i can fix the bumper and fender, but does anyone have any idea why my car is wobbly. Like i drove it home after the wreck, it just moved from side to side on the rode, the tires are fine, so im thinking that my alignment is just off. any ideas?

EV (electric vehicle) question...on Powercheq (spelled Powerchek, Powercheck, Power Cheq, Power Cheks in forum discussions)

There were prior posts in the Corbin Sparrow EV group alleging Powercheq's going up in flames, and dying on the job en masse, after a time. Have the problems been resolved in the current revision of Powercheqs? In other words, would you buy
Powercheqs if you were in my shoes? Any better devices for
non-dissipative battery balancing?

Can 2 Powercheq's be used, 2 at a time, (doubled up) without problems, for a 4A transfer? Anybody try this, and can give a rundown?

I read David Butcher's extensive Sparrow diary. He only got 7K miles out of his battery pack before it died. Is there something he could have done to make them last longer?

How many thousand miles do you get out of your battery electric vehicle pack, and please specify brand/model, thanks.

The blend door on my 98 ford windstar is broken, and can't be glued back together. So, i need a new one. Retail will only allow me to buy the whole assembly, which is $850 CAD
Can anyone find me just a blend door and not the whole assembly?

I have a Peugeot diesel engine fitted in my camper. I now need to raise the gearing to give me approx. 20mph/1000rpm instead of the standard 16.4mph.

Could I, for instance, fit the diff. from a beetle box?

Or any other ideas welcomed.

i have a 1999 suzuki grand vitara 4x4 and well the belts on it have just been replaced, about half a year ago, the vehicle works just fine except during winter the belt tends to slip especially when i turn on the a/c or other electrical pieces like the piaa lights. the problem seems to go away when i pump the accelerator and my guess is that it just needs a little more tightening, i am wondering if anyone knows if i would be able to tighten it and where the location of the tensioner is...

My gf's car is disgustingly filthy. She hasn't washed the damn windshield in probably a year, and the result is a windshield that I can barely see out of when driving, especially at night owing to the glare on it. We live in Hawaii and she has to drive though a couple of miles of Pineapple fields daily on her way to work, and all the pineapples are grown in rich, red dirt. I suppose she hasn't had the time to really clean it very well, so I've decided to clean the car myself before I kill someone from the lack of sight. (Or even killing her for not cleaning it in such a long time...) Haha

I have a 2003 pontiac grand am SE... my car will shut off on me after i have driven it for over 1 hour. All the lights will flash and then the car will stop working. After this happens I have to wait for the car's temperature to go back down to 0 before it will start again. Can anyone give me an idea of what the problem might be... I have gone to 3 mechanics in my area and no one seems to be able to fix it.

My F-150 developed a small leak in the head gasket. It has 164000 miles. Ford wanted so much to replace the gasket, I poured a bottle of bars-leak into the cooling system. It fixed the leak. Some say that the stuff will later damage parts of the cooling system. What do you think? Thanks.

Hi there, just bought this car, it has very low miles and was a good deal, just have to figure out why it runs so crappy. Starts fine and does not die. Sputters, hesitates and coughs when I step on the gas. Let up a little on the gas and it smooths out a little but try to step on it and it dogs down and starts pinging. No guts. I can tell it wants to go, but whatever the problem is, it's holding it back. Have done all the tune up stuff and it shows no codes. It has had electrical problems but as far as I can tell, I have fixed all that and it ran like crap before that. I have a strong feeling it's one of those many sensors, but which one? I don't want to replace them all. I've also been told it could be one of the "contacts" inside the distributor. Anyone have an answer for this one??? Thanks for any help!!
