amazingly, i can walk to the bars leaks factory down the road about 3 miles from here. and for the leak, im not sure but i believe the factorys actually place a small ammount of radiator leak stuff in already so im sure adding more wouldnt hurt. but i wouldnt put my money on fixing it, i would expect more issues later on, talk to an expert at a auto store they can help.

Using Bars -Leak will not hurt anything. It is the first thing used by many older car owners who have a small leak from the head gasket area. I used bars-leak on my 1984 Dodge Aries with a small leak from the head and it worked fine. I would not it put in Dexa-Cool or the new Ford antifreeze, as it would alter the ph,and may break down these new products. It's a way of trying to avoid a costly repair on a vehicle that is not worth the cost.

I have been to a dozen different websites that show what happens to stuff when it get hot during normal use and that junk scares me I also have a f150 v8/5.4 4x4 I had 110,000 miles and just replaced the gasket because the images I saw of that stuff just made my stomach turn. I have had lots of problems with my truck lately I'd say if you got 164000 miles you have done good. I have put my truck through the ringer and it is still hamering strong but it has had its share of problems.

Actually, the stuff moves and seeks out a leak, or a passage that flows water.
Not a good idea as a permanent solution..........can cause problems with thermostat, radiator, etc.
