Changing the transmission shouldn't cause any new engine oil leaks. It's most likely the transmission fluid pan gasket is leaking. Don't wait any longer and return to the shop that installed your transmission and have them take a look. Wait to long and any problem will be yours, and yours alone. Now get that good nights sleep tonight and make the time to get there tomorrow!

Get underneath to check your leaks. Color of the oil a light brown maybe. Color of the transmission fluid will be a red color. Check the bolts on the oil and transmission pan. If there are lose then tighten them up and that should stop your problem. If it still leaks then take it back to that shop.

Automatic transmission fluid (oil) has a red to purple tint . Crankcase oil is light tan. If it's not been changed recently the color will be dark brown to black. Get on a car lift and determine the source if the leak. If it's the transmission there should be some kind warranty on it. I'd act fast.

Why are you avoiding the guy who put it in? He hasn't done a complete job yet. He shouldn't have got paid in full, yet I know that has happened. However, he needs to maintain a good name to get more business, and 1 unsatisfied customer can shoot his reputation down very quickly(even if he had a 100 satified customers prior) so he will fix it if he wants to remain a mechanic.
It may be a simple oversight on his part. Give him a chance.

its either not joined properly at the bell housing, or one of the core plugs or seals is leaking, make sure the dip stick is in its happened. clean it off then run it for a short time then look for leak. sounds like it is the installers fault, be carefull not to run out of trans fluid. good luck

Take the car back and get it checked out, you should be able to get it fixed for free since it is an error on their part. Take it to a college or highschool mechanics class and see what they have to say to you. They do repair work for free for their classes also.

well andi,i would try tightening up the oil pan bolts and the bolts on the tranny pan.they sometimes dont tighten them up very much when they are new.also the oil pan bolts do come loose over time.(dont overtighten then,or you will warp the pan)
