It has only just happend 2 days ago. What could it be and will it be costly to get sorted, approx how much?..any mechanics out there to help..thanks

I noticed that it said add 5w 20. Will this effect my car in any way?

Also, my sister didn't check her oil for 7 months (can't believe it) and when she went to add oil it took 2 liter's...a few weeks later I added another one and it was still low so I added one more..my question is..because she didn't check it for so long did the 2 she added in get absorbed faster so that she needed 2 more..or was it because the oil was just so low that it took 4 liters within a month??

When I'm slowing down to stop and I apply my foot the the clutch my truck just dies on me. What could be causing this? I drive a 1994 Chevy S-10 4 Cylinder 2.2 Liter. Help!

the sides. I'm assuming this is from the salt they put on the roads as I just noticed it for the first time today after washing it. What can I do to keep it from getting worse??? Thanks for any help! Oh, I wash my vehicle whenever I can, but we have had highs in the upper teens for weeks and I haven't been able to wash it until now. (Just for all you haters who'll tell me to wash my car more often)

I keep getting this bad smell coming from my vents in my car but only when the air is blowing to defrost my windows and is set on the new air as opposed to the recycled air or the air that comes directly from the engine. It also happens whether I use heat or a/c and only when described as above. When the vents are pointed at me they do not smell. Please help it is getting gross.

I have brand new Toyota Scion, automatic transmission. In the manual it specifically says that the engine should warm up while driving not idling. And my hubby has also brand new Toyota Yaris but shift stick and his manual says he does need to warm up a little before he starts driving. It sounds logical cause if you drive with engine cold it makes it work harder and eventually contributes to shorter life. So why my car is different? Input is very appreciated.

We replaced the alternator and found what we thought was bad, was not. Checked the wiring harness/relay, the battery, everything.... Does anyone have any suggestions as to why this won't hold a charge? It runs when jumped, I can run the heat, but not headlights, rear defrosted, heated mirrors... Help? My mechanic is breaking me! Thanks!

citreon xzarra picaso sometimes stalls when turning eg at junctions when turning had a diagnostic machine on it problem still not solved can anyone help as anyone else alos had this problem. the car does restart straight away but why does it stall?

I cant find a place anywhere that has one or sells one, I don't want to take the whole steering shaft out. Is there a subsitute tool? I need to remove the pin that connects the lock plate to the steering shaft, and it states not to hammer it. Is there a universal pin remover? The pivot pin remover that comes with most lock plate depressing kits is too small and doesn't work. I appreciate any help. Thanks

i have a 750 double pumper on a ford mustang 302 and its fouling the plugs and a guy at a local ford shop told me its to big of a carb i have e-303 cam gt-40 heads 1.7rr full msd egn. barry grant fuel presure regulator he also told me if i jet it down that it would work fine he said he just done the same thing for a guy and it worked fine,but hes out of town now and i need to no do i need to change the squirters also i have #31 INSTALLED NOW.

I have a 1997 Pontiac Grand Prix. The plastic strips on the inside of the doors----along the windows---have become brittle and cracked. ---What are these called? It's hard to shop online for replacement parts with a description of "plastic thingies".
--Oh! if anyone can suggest where to look for replacements (aside from eBay, which is the first place I plan to look once I know the name), I would really appreciate it.

i was in an accident a few months ago and the brakes have been squeeking very louddoes anyone know a temporary thing i can do to stop it? i cant quite afford work on the car right now
but the noise is soo loud that when i park my car everyone looks outside there windows

also do i need the routers to be cut is that why there squeeking?

If so, why do they make them as round hooks instead of flat points where a jack would fit and obviously go? When I use a jack or jack stands with those hooks it doesn't seem secure.

It's a Toyota Camry 06, only 25K on it and was working fine before the weekend. When I started the car this morning (it was quite cold, -25C) I noticed that the dashboard isn't lit up. Also, the RPM meter wasn't working although the engine is running. I turned on the A/C fan, and it wasn't working as well as the windhsield wipers. However, the radio was working.
Anyhow, I thought it may be an electrical problem. But when I tried to drive the car, the transmission wouldn't move from the park position and the steering was very heavy (it's automatic trans, and yes, I did press the brake pedal).
Anyway, it's at the dealership now. They said they'll call me when it's ready. Just wanted to know what could have went wrong?

94 tbird transmission (4.6 v-8) won't upshift past 2nd gear, overdrive on-off switch works, reverse acts like u r holding the brake. don't slip just bam in & out of rev all at once. doesn't slip in 2nd with overdrive on i get nothing when it should be in 3rd, when off won't even try to shift into 3rd any help at all is greatly aprecciated

My 2001 Buick Century was fine until the wipers froze in the last snow and ice storm. When I finally got them free an hour ago, they just started wiping with the switch still off. They stop for a moment, then start again and never seat themselves. They ignore the stalk switch completely. They only way to make them quit is to take out the fuse - a fine solution until the next time it snows or rains. What's up?

But mice are getting under the hood. They take bird seed an hide it at my air filter. There are also lots of droppings on my battery.
Also..aside from the fact that this is disgusting... are there any health concerns?
