and i'm afraid they aren't using the full synthetic oil that i am paying for......is there anyway i can check to make sure they use the right oil?

...while bleeding brkes, pass.side rear bleed valve never let fluid out. Had pedal though, so tried it and sensed some air still in lines, but brakes were back...had to stop suddenly pumped and braked hard then brk light came on again and hasn.t gone off...tried the key in acces. pos. to reposition the balance sensor but it's not going out. Could the air that's still in the lines keep that red light on?

Finally got my range rover started, left it idling for about 40 minutes, drove it around for about 15, and tried to start it -- barely started. Battery was completely dead before the jump. Now I'm going to leave it idling for a few hours, will that effectively charge the battery, or should I just head to kragen for a battery charger?

Battery was replaced about a year ago, so I don't think I need another one.

I have a 2000 Firebird. I am going to get a Ram Air style hood, or the Raptor Style, and I want to know how much would it cost to get all of it painted jet black. I do not want something crappy either. I like those "mirror finish" type paint jobs.

I tried to start my 4Runner today and it won't start. Are there any car people out there that can help me out?

It doesn't turn over. I have power (lights turn on, interior power etc.), but when I turn the key, it knocks. It's different from a clicking sound. What could the problem be? It has been really cold here for the last 2 weeks and the car has not been started in that time. Gas? Battery? Starter? Alternator? Any help would be appreciated.

my dad ussually gets oil change from havoline and i decided to just do it ourselves. so we got the stuff and when i drained the oil the drain plug was diffirent and doesnt even looked like a drain plug so i have to buy another 1 the guy in autozone thinks they lost the original drain plug and now my problem is the oil filter. its really really really hard to take off even with a oil filter wrench. i just need a quick tip because my dad doesnt have a car to use to go to work

Something is draining my battery. The battery and cables are new, however, sometimes the car will not start. After shaking the battery wires one day, the car started. Any suggestions?

For years we have used non-synthetic oil without destroying our engines. Now the general buzz is that synthetic oil is many times superior. Does it really reduce friction to the point where gas mileage is increased? I am not putting it into a racing car but merely a Toyota Corolla. Does the supposed difference only apply to high-performance engines? Does it protect the average engine from wear any better?

We were listening to the music in our Envoy , we shut the car off, and when we came back into the car, the volume would NOT work, but the display on the radio worked fine. My husband checked the fuses and all in tact. Any suggestions? THANKS!

my mom has a 95 dodge intrepid 4dr, 3.3L V6. i was considering to make an offer to buy it for $1500, since its in fair condition and has some mechanical defects (this would be my first car).
i want to know what upgrades i can get to squeeze more life out of an engine with 140,000 miles on it. i dont care if i have to replace half the engine, but i do want to get it to rev quicker and increase the HP. lightweight pistons and flywheel? balanced crankshaft? what should i get. i want to be able to drive this thing at high rpms without worrying about burning out the engine. ill be using this to play around in empty parking lots - burnout, donuts, drifting, etc.

what other performance mods can i get? i was thinking small stuff like a new catback and air filter. how do i make the engine louder?
any chance of upgrading it to a 5 or 6 speed manual?

Car is a '96. Pass. side works sloppy like and will get tanggled with the other wiper. I think the arm is stripped. How do I remove this arm?

My 1995 Ford Explorer 4.0L is having trouble upshifting.

If your at a stoplight for example, and you accelerate, it will not shift up to 2nd unless you let off the gas for a second or two, then it will kick into second. You can then get up to 60+ mph, but if you give it too much gas, it will pop back into first [even if your going like 40 mph].

Its been doing this for a year and i put over 15,000 miles on it... it has to be an electronic problem, possibly a sensor right??

ALSO, the overdrive light flashes constantly since this happend, sometimes when its in 4x4 that light will flash too.

Anyone have any idea whats wrong?

I have a 95 Acura Integra special edition. ABout 6 weeks ago my brakes started feeling funny, like I could hit my brakes but instead of catching it would start slowing down but my foot would eventually be all the way to the floor to get it to stay stopped. I took it to express (my light was on too) the next day and they said it was just low on brake fluid and after that it was fine.. Well, yesterday, it statrted doing it again, but there is no light. I can be stopped at a red light, but unless I continue to press harder and let my foot flow with the brake pedal to the floor, my car starts inching foward... What could be the problem? It also doesn't do it every single time... It did it all last night and this morbning but it seems fine now!

"K" reg Volvo 960 Estate 3L 24v Automatic, has been left sitting for 9 month and will not start, have charged the battery up and there is nothing happening when you turn the key in the ignition. Have also tried to jump start this and nothing happens, does anyone have any idea what is wrong??

on an 83 305.....if the head gasket is the same as a 350...(it is according to NAPA) then what would be the difference in a head set for a 350?....i have a head set for a 350 but need to do the heads on the 305 and there are 2 different part numbers for a 305 to 350 but the head gaskets are the same...what gives?

Great...my windows are down and the door unlocked because nothing works anymore!! please help me!!!
My car was fine and I just got home to pick something up..the problem started after i changed cd in the cd-player in the trunk..everything was fine music played..then I changed the song and wanted to start the car and it made this click sound....now nothing goes. When i put the key in nothig happens at all..its like the car is dead. I really dont know what to do...please, please help!

I have had my fuel pump and filter replaced, new plugs, wires,cap and rotor also replaced, a new EGR valve and timing was checked. My vehicle will still backfire a little and it idles rough. along with not the greatest acceleration in the beginning. Just trying to figure out what else could be causing this problem after having all that work done? I have also had my injectors replaced too.
