replaced thermostat, and fan has been running warm for over a year

Well, your car is supposed to run at that temp. Your gage is probably not correct.

I presume you mean you put a 195 degree thermostat in it?

If you put a higher range thermostat in it than is recommended by the manufacturer, it will run hotter. Remember, the number on the thermostat is what it "starts" opening at, not what your engine temp will be...A 195 degree thermostat will normally have your temp gage reading 200-210 average...

you probably put too high of a temperature thermostat in. most people feel they need to put in the highest temp one in(i.e. 190 degree) but in reaLITY the opposite is usually true.the temperature is the temperature that the water in your vehicle must reach before the thermostat will open up releasing pressure and thus lowering the water temp.you can wreck a motor doing that.check in a repair manual or call aprts store or the dealer and find out what the proper(oem original recommended ) thermostat is.

cars run that warm these days , it's to reduce the NOx emission levels
