nothing really you can do maybe save up money for a different car or a supercharger, look for a rubber boot in the firewall and solder the wire to the end of a hanger, shove the hanger through the rubber boot avoiding contact with other wires and voila

You can buy a K&N air filter and a Tornado air atomizer at like Pepboys for under 100 dollars. And the wire through the firewall is easy look for where your ECM goes through there will be a rubber grommet, just slip your wire through there but make sure it wont chafe on the metal.

on a small car like that, often just running a high-octane gas you'll notice a difference. If you use 87, when you're at a 1/4 tank or less, fill 'er up with some 94 or higher. You'll notice a difference in performance and mileage.

get an air filter, cone type, a cold air feed pipe. and if you really want to up the point to point performance a brake upgrade will work wonders. goo set of fast road pads will mean u spend less time on the brakes and more time on the power. also clean out the car. a boot full of rubbish and crap in the car could add up to the weight of a full passenger. and that will slow u down too.

any engine will improve if you add a larger air intake filter like K&E as well as reducing exaust back pressure. Just be careful not to get parts that can result in failing your air polution test. SMOG. Higher octane could be a waste of money as higher octane fule burns slower to eliminate ping. Burn what the engine is designed for.

The only way to make a Kia perform better is to trade it in on something decent.
