It's a Toyota Camry 06, only 25K on it and was working fine before the weekend. When I started the car this morning (it was quite cold, -25C) I noticed that the dashboard isn't lit up. Also, the RPM meter wasn't working although the engine is running. I turned on the A/C fan, and it wasn't working as well as the windhsield wipers. However, the radio was working.
Anyhow, I thought it may be an electrical problem. But when I tried to drive the car, the transmission wouldn't move from the park position and the steering was very heavy (it's automatic trans, and yes, I did press the brake pedal).
Anyway, it's at the dealership now. They said they'll call me when it's ready. Just wanted to know what could have went wrong?

That definitely sounds like an electrical problem. At first, it sounds like some fuses may have blown out but it seems a bit more complicated than that. A similar thing happened with a family member's '05 Camry yet it did not go as far as the transmission not shifting.

if you live in a high humidity area or get your engine "shampooed " there will be moisture in your electrical connections and they will not respond properly with a drop to some intense cold . hopefully a day in a warm shop will help along with some di-electic silicon on your electrical connections , also in severe cold you should warm the car up for at least 10 min. the first start of the day and expect it to be sluggish.

Check the fuses in the engine bay
i'm sure one of it is not faulty.
