removing a stock decal?

there's an ugly brownish gold stripe going down the side of my black 05 toyota corolla that came on the car when i bought it; does anyone know how i can remove it without messing up the car in any way?

Heat it with a hair dryer. Next wipe on Goo Goo Gone and let it soak in. Then using the hair dryer and a plastic card, scrape it off.

Use a blow dryer. It will loosen it up so you can peel off
