I removed the cover to the fuse box and there is no diagram telling me which fuse goes to what like there is supposed to be. Also, when I use these plastic tweezers to try to pull out a fuse it won't come out.

I have tried looking through the manual but it doesn't provide the diagram. I have also tried searching online but have not had any luck.

Yesterday, after driving for about 30 minutes, my engine started making tapping, rattling noises, smoking, leaking what I think was coolant.

After walking to get some oil, I decided to check the oil dipstick. Well the oil was just fine. Maybe a little overfull, since I dumped half a quart in before thinking to check the level.

The next thing I did was start the (cooled) engine. It ran great! ... For about five minutes. It started the noisy, smoky routine again. I also noticed a quiet sort of high pitch sound that lasted for about ten seconds. The pitch of the sound increased and then stopped. It made the sound more than once.

It was a long trip home, driving 5 minutes, stopping and cooling for 20-30 minutes, then driving 5 more minutes, etc.

On the long trip home, I noticed that even though the engine was steaming hot, the temperature guage was saying that it was cold. The heater didn't seem to be working either.

What's causing this, and how might I fix it?

I own a 1997 Saturn SC2 1.9 DOHC, and was wondering whether or not my car had a fuel filter on it. At the moment, the fuel pump on my car is taking too long to kick in after I turn the key switch on, which indicates that my filter is either going out or the fuel filter needs to be replaced. The plugs are good as they have been replaced recently, as well as the wires connected to the plugs. Any help is much appreciated.

I've got a '94 Toyota Camry and I'm planning to take it into one of those oil /quick repair places tomorrow to get checked out - I've been low on cash recently and haven't been able to maintain it too well. I'm going to get the fluids checked and air put in the tires - what else should I have done? The tires are fine, I've checked the treads. I'm not sure how often I should get the brake pads replaced - they haven't been replaced in the 3.5 years I've owned it. They aren't making noise or anything, but I worry anyway.

If it helps, I've replaced the spark plugs, ignition wires, distributor and distributor cap, muffler, flux pipe, alternator, and radiator in the last 3 years.

Do I need new brake pads? What else should I get checked out?

We checked the alternator, its not it. We purchased a new battery and the vehicle still dies out. It died out on me when I was driving, When I first started it, the battery gauge was half way, then when I started driving it it dropped slowly. All the lights were dimming out and the radio shut off. It started to lose power and finally it died rite out. We boosted the vehicle and It started rite away and as soon as I got going again it stated to lose power again and of course it died again. We had to do this 3or4 times just to get home.. Now it is rite dead, it does not even turn over.

It's a 2000 Mazda 626 with 50,080 miles and more specifically ... when I go to slow down at a stop light, instead of stopping smoothly, the car kind of stutters to a stop and then upon re-accelerating to go again, it does the same thing. Otherwise, while driving it runs smoothly.

My mom told me I need a tune-up. What exactly is a tune-up? Will changing my spark plugs and wires take care of the problem as well?

Hey guys,
Ok, I would like to get some aftermarket things put into my car and therefore I started looking around for some sponsors, since I personally can't afford to spend so much money o parts. After a good deal of searching I was able to came up to this site www.carsponsors.com and they were able to offer me to open an account with them, when I could add my car photos to be viewed by sponsors. So, I did go ahead and opened an account with them (for free) and added some photos of my car. Now, they are saying that they could offer me a guaranteed Full or Quasi Sponsorship if I pay them 89 dollars. Now, their privacy policy sheet said that they would only charge me if they find any sponsors, otherwise they won't.
Now, I would like to know if this legible and if I should proceed and open a paid account with them...
Thanks...

Ever since we had the injection pump replaced, the "service engine" light comes on occasionally... 2000 GMC Savanna 3500 box truck, with 6.5 turbo diesel engine. I know there is a way, but do not remember how it is done...We had the pump replaced about a year ago, and it runs fine, and we have had no problems, but now we no longer need the truck, and want to put it up for sale...Needless to say, we do not want the light to discourage prospective buyers, as it runs and works very well.( we do not want to disable the light, and do not consider it an ethical resolution ) By the way, the radiator, hoses, belt, coolant, thermostats, and more have also been replaced about a year ago as well...Any help would be much appreciated...

I have a Ford 98 Explorer it has stopped working and my snap on scanner is telling me that code 1260 'Theft detected, disabled engine' is showing on the scanner. I have tried to clear the code but no prevail.

I am getting spark and i have hooked the fuel pump up hot so the throttle body is getting fuel but it still won't start.

I also tried disconnecting the batter for 24 hours with hopes that the code went away this did no work either.

Any suggestions.

I might get my dad's old car when I turn sixteen, but he chose a really ugly car. I wanted to repaint it silver (I've seen the same car in silver and it is gorgeous!). Does anyone know how much it costs? Do I have to get it done at the dealer or are there different places that can do it? etc... Thank you!

I just got a smog check and failed. When the technician first started, he popped open the hood and went to the engine compartment. Then I heard the engine stutter two or three times, and I could smell something similar to rotten eggs coming out of the car. The car was running perfectly fine and smelled normal before he popped open the hood. I think he must have done something to the car, but I don't know what. My HC reading was over 2 times the max and my CO % was way past the max too. The NO (PPM) was around average though. I had passed with good numbers 2 years before. The inspection report also listed my odometer reading as having over 190,000 miles when my car hasn't reached 50,000 miles. What could the tech have done to my car and what should I do now?
