I have a 1989 BMW 535i auto and someone changed a cylinder head gasket for me - twice!! The second time the head was skimmed . I paid for all the bits and he did it in a small garage but I feel I am being ripped off. So how long would it take and / or how much would it cost. It still produces ' emulsion ' from the radiator ( how do I get rid of that ? ) and steam is coming out of the exhaust - so it aint fixed

I have a 1989 Cutlass Supreme 2.8MFI V-6. It will start and run fine for 20-30 Min. Then just shut off. When you try to restart it will kinda try to start but wont. The only Trouble Code I have is 45 Oxgen Sensor Rich Error. Oil pressure Is fine. If I let the car sit for couple hours, will restart problem all over. What would cause the car to do this? Fuel leak, Bad O2 Sensor?

I bought my car from a dealership on October 21, 2005. it is a 2004 dodge neon. A few nights ago the transmission just shot. I will have my foot on the gas pedal in drive and the car won't move. I talked to my dealership and the warranty I have was only good for 3 months and 3000 miles, I put a little over 5000 (traveling) so now they say that they will go 50/50 for a new transmission. Anyone have a rough estimate on how much that will cost me?

I just purchased some Turtle Wax Polishing Compound and Scratch remover for my car. I have some haze spots around some sections of my car, some light scratches and swirls.

Do I NEED an electric buffer? Or can I just use some elbow grease and do it by hand?

How long would it take to do my entire 4 door camry sedan by hand?

They are Primewell tires that I bought at Firestone. I also did an Alignment. It is more of a high pitched noise and is more noticeable at lower speeds or when changing speeds. My previous Michelin tires did not make any noise.

While I was on vacation someone poured antifreeze on my car and when I took it to the carwash it wouldn't come off all the way. How can I get the remainder of it off?

It's relatively low-mileage and has had regular check ups... :-) We've added some oil, and a little anti-freeze... but it still comes on just after running a few miles... we're afraid to get too far from home in it. Does anyone have any good ideas as to how to "fix" this problem (besides a new car!)? we love our astro... and have had very few problems with it... but this one has us baffled...

I have a 98 Ford Taurus that won't start. It sounded like the battery at first because the engine would crank when I would turn the key. So I took care of the battery. Now it is just cranking faster. My guess it the fuel pump or fuel pump relay that is causing the problem because I pump the gas but it's having no effect, but I need to know how to fix it myself. Any ideas?

My son upgraded his '93 Camry with what he called vador 5s tires. The car is mine now. He always kept the tires at 35 psi. The tire themselves say max 51 psi, which I just tried at my dad's insistance. But that's proving to be a bumpy ride and my son is certain that's too high. I've found that the 35 psi is okay but 30 is way low. I notice the difference. The sticker inside the door that I've read so much about is long gone. My son thought it should be 35 psi. Does anyone have any advice or knowledge of the manufacturer's recommended tire pressure that used to be on a sticker inside the door? We're at 40 ft and I sometimes drive to 300 ft and the weather has been ranging between 20 and 65 (in case that matters). I want to put it somewhere between the car recommendation and the max psi.
