my car was running fine when it went to the garage to have some welding done . when i got it back the auto gearbox doesn't change properly . it revs up to 4500 before chonking into next gear and same into 3rd . it will never change into top . the garage deny doing anything to it and won't be held responsible . do you think i have a costly problem on my hands ?

vacuum hose to the governor got hot and melted // takes vacuum to shift those monsters

Sounds like a lack of gearbox fluid. They might have damaged a pipe/hose.

sounds like it mate the garage will deny everything they have done so forget about them.
Best replace your gearbox with a second hand one from a scrapyard a new one will cost thousands.
