I started getting what seems to be carbon fowling spark problems problems when I increased the inlet venturi size on the turbo, but the start lag doesn't seem that bad. Could it be that I need more airflow at idle and the rotor is not spooling quick enough?

sparkplugs are a must regardless. we use platinum tipped sparkplugs and they are really good quality. we have a turbo on our car (WRX modded) so we need the good spark plugs. if you use crap (or stock) sparkplugs right now, you WILL see a difference with quality plugs... not as much as with a turbo though. my point? get both.

hope this helps!

You won't get very far without spark plugs, even with a turbocharger. So I would go with spark plugs.

The engine can function without a turbo.... not spark plugs.

spark plugs as to which you engine would not run without even with the turbo charger....which in it self forces a mixture of fuel and air to the combustion chamber...lol

You are an idiot. Without spark plugs the gasonline will not burn which means your engine and turbocharger will sit there doing nothing.
