take the ignition key out of the car so there is no chance someone trys to start it. get a test light. disconnect the positive wire from your battery. clip the test light alligator clip to the positive battery cable that is now unhooked from your battery. touch the pointed end of the test light to the positive battery terminal. if you are following me you have just put the test light in between the battery cable and the terminal that it was just connected to, effectively reconnecting the cable through the filament of the test light bulb. if you have a parasitic draw on the battery the light will glow. if it glows, have someone pull the fuses out of the fuse box one at a time until the test light goes out. the fuse that makes it go out is the source of your drain. look on the cover of the fuse box and see what the fuse provides power to. if the fuse says radio, then you need to look at the wiring pertaining to the radio. if the fuse says taillights, check the wiring to the taillights. ect.

Make sure the wires to the battery are secure, you will know by jiggling wires, this happened to me a year ago and a cab driver helped me with this, it was that simple, but I had no warning signs of battery being weak. If battery is weak, you can buy a battery charger for a quick fix.

could be a dead short somewhere in the system
something that is draining the battery
may need to have the electrical system analyzed
PS: how do you 'know' it's not the alternator? has it been analyzed?
sometimes when you put a new battery in - the alternator does need to be replaced.
best of luck

check the alternator fuse. I once spent over $100 on battery/alternator before I found that the fuse was bad.
Also check the cables for corrosion.

first check to see if you left anything on that could be useing power. if not there are a hundred things that could be wrong....If you have an Auto Zone around, go see them and they can tell you what is draining your battery to die for free
