I am 90% sure that Lar is correct.
I went to the oldest diagram that I could find online (1996 F150 owners manual) page 60. To confirm:
https://web.msslib.dealerconnection.com/RightSite/getcontent/myfile.pdf?DMW_OBJECTID=09000c5880006d34
I hope this helps.

If the needle and seat indoors the carb are working precise, gas rigidity indoors the line does not flood the engine. the two the circulate element is purely too intense or some element else indoors the carb isn't working appropriate. If the gas gadget is working appropriate the line from the pump to the carb would have rigidity in it. yet yet another danger is the two a crack indoors the casting somwhere or a leaky gasket allowing the gas to drain into the engine. Take a actual good look at each element and attempt lowering the floats slightly to confirm if that helps.
