depends on the dent size and depth. sometimes it is better to replace the hood. the hood is a main structure of the vehicle.

I had the same problem on my 78 Chevy truck. I bought two pieces of flat steel. 2 inches wide, 3 feet long, and 1/4 inches thick. I drilled three 1/4 inch holes two inches apart on each end. I cut two pieces of 2x4 wood 3 foot long. I placed a piece of steel on the raised portion of the hood on each side. I say raised portion, it is the support that runs from front to back on each side of the hood. I then placed a piece of the 2x4 on the top side to protect the finish and also to prevent dent marks. I used two large C clamps . One on each end to hold things in place. It helps to have someone to help you to position things till you get the clamps on. After that use a third large C clamp in the middle. When you tighten the middle clamp it will pull the bow out of the hood. You have to use three clamps on each side or work one side at a time. When you have the hood straight then run six 1/4 self tapping sheet metal screws through the holes in the steel into the hood supports. Remove the clamps and the 2x4s and you are finished.
